My passion for film stems from its ability to fully immerse someone into a whole world for a couple of hours. This immersible experience won’t be possible without the skill and creativity of set design. For me, set design is more than just building a backdrop; it's about shaping the atmosphere, enhancing storytelling, and giving characters a world to exist in. I love the creative challenge of translating scripts into tangible, visual experiences that compliment the narrative and deepen engagement by communicating subtext through design.
My fascination for colour grading comes from its long lasting visual impact on a films mood and aesthetics. I really saw how important colour grading is for a film, not just for the elevated look and aesthetics but how it positively affects the cinematic quality, guides the audiences emotions by setting the mood and ensuring a cohesive visual style.
I recently graduated from University of The Arts London in 2024 where I studied Film Practice and specialised in production design. At university I was able to explore and expand my skillsets whilst experiencing various roles within film production. These roles included directing, producing, production design, costume design and colour grading.
I am currently looking for roles within the art department as a trainee and roles as colour assistant/trainee at a post house!
Currently: ITV Creative Access Mentorship Programme
